Noctus interruptus, 4:30 am:

Drip...

Drip...

Drip drip drip drip...

dripdripdripdripdripdripdripdrip...

In about a half an hour one drip turned into several, including needing to rescue the dvd player, the vcr, and the clock (as well as just about everything that was on my dresser). Something about rapidly spreading drips did not lend itself to letting me go back to sleep.

8:00 am: called the landlady and tidied up the place

8:30 am: landlord was patching things up upstairs

For now the dripping has ceased. I'm just hoping that it won't come back if the rain starts up again in earnest.

Icky drips can go away now...

*smooches, loves, hugs* Echo what Beth said.

As I told John this morning, last night was a bad night for the sleeping. We had a wasp in our room just before bed, which stung Oliver. Since we couldn't find it, we were afraid to sleep in our room, lest we spend all night getting stung. :P But the attempts to sleep in the office failed, so we went back to our room, but were both tense, so we didn't rest well. Then at 2:30, the neighbor came home and her idiot friends were yelling and honking the horn when they dropped her off. And being woken up by that, the sounds of her footsteps back and forth and back and forth and back and forth over my head (which I probably would have slept through, but since I was awake already...) kept me awake for a good while.

I sympathize and I hope things improve!! *sends more hugs, smooches and loves, to share with John* :)

He mentioned that we weren't the only ones to have an icky night. At least we're in good company, though not in a positive way. I hope that you either find the wasp, or that it somehow weasels its way out of your apartment. Regarding your search post: it sounds like a townhouse might help. No more upstairs folks to worry about. Sure, there's still the side, but it's not necessarily going to resound as much.

For the time being, I hope that things get tolerable if not better soon. Here there's at least no more dripdripdripping. We'll see if that keeps up once it rains again...

***hugs tightly and loves lots***

I agree. At least the landlord and landlady were swift to work on things. Here's hoping their patch job holds up!
