The holidays went relatively well.
I still have no voice. There is little I can think of that is more frustrating than being a social individual in a room full of people gabbing two nights in a row and not being able to communicate without getting uncomfortably close and whispering in people's ears. :(
It's also tricky to be mom to an energetic 6-year-old when he won't stand still long enough for me to ask him to cooperate.
Oh, also: I'm utterly insane, it seems. Despite my thorough troubleshooting of the CD player of doom before the trip, it seems to be all in working order now.

![]() Your mind is a creative hotbed of artistic talent. You're always making pictures in your mind, especially when you're bored. You are easily inspired to think colorful, interesting thoughts. And although it may be hard to express these thoughts, it won't always be. |

![]() You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy. You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts. People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused. But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination. |
Y'know... when a number of these look interesting, I tend to doubt the results. Anyhow, I think a mix of these is a reasonable approximation.
| You are a Self-Discoverer |
![]() You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality. Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine. You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion. You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans. |
This quiz is very Big Three specific. What about religions that don't go in for the "God" stuff and cut straight to the chase with the concept of Whole or All or Ultimate Unity? These days I'm a whole lot more spiritual than I ever was in the past, but I'm closer to the Buddhist side of things. (At least the Zen Buddhist side of things.) I mean, catching a glimpse of the center where all religions and science meet is a pretty strong motivator to believe in certain things: karma, the continuity of life regardless of form, the interweaving of all that is, etc. Sure, you can call that God if you want to, but the term is more likely to project the image of an anthropomorphic, omnicient, omnipotent deity who insists on salvation than an amorphous conglomoration of Everything That Is, reflected in each and every one of its parts. Eh. I have a bone to pick with over-limited religion quizzes.

![]() You do things your own way - and it's made for colorful times. Your life hasn't turned out how anyone expected, thank goodness! Your best movie matches: Clerks, Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite |
Eh. I don't think they make movies like my life. Then again, some of my youth does smack of Napoleon Dynamite.

I'm absolutely exhausted and looking forward to some NyQuil tonight. Between the coughing, sore throat, restlessness, sofa bed, and bustling schedule of the holidays I hardly made half a night's sleep any of the nights. Last night
