OK, so I'm going to accompany Aidan to Buffalo for his week at camp. My Mom's picking us up on Sunday (7/12) and bringing us back Friday (7/17) evening. I will not have access to a car of my own. I might have some free time to hang out, but in all likelihood I'd need a ride. What do you think?

I'm officially crazy. No, this has nothing to do with the quiz results earlier.
I have wanderlust, big time. The idea weaseled it's way into my head that it might be a good weekend to run off to Howe Caverns with Aidan and

mechanchaos. I know. It's crazy. It gets better though. The idea is to get up uber early in the morning to drive out there, go on a tour of the caverns, then buzz up to Sacandaga Lake for camping at Northampton Beach. And hell, as long as we're there, what would complete our weekend better than taking Aidan to the Barton Mine. We might as well get some mileage from our season passes. We'll only have to pay for Aidan and for the garnet we bring out. Whee! Then Sunday afternoon and evening we'll drive back. So do you think I'm certifiable yet?
Mmmmmm - so nice to wake up in my own bed. We've been doing a lot of travelling lately. I warn you, this is very long and quite possibly full of details no one wants to know, but this is the trip post I've been promising.

Today I feel much more rested. Despite the lockout, I'm very glad we got to
whitesnowrosere's graduation party. I'm also glad to have had the experience of two different mines. Maybe getting to know laefin better will give us an excuse to get out to the Adirondacks again. Now to tackle the rest of the time before school starts...
