Something just occurred to me.
I know that people were interested in getting together to play around with music-y sorts of stuff.
I know that one thing that I've come up against is that we aren't totally familiar with the songs one or another of us might be interested in sharing. Train-of-thought with thinking that was the idea of coming up with a song list to start out with. We could create a list of songs we're interested in sharing with one another or trying to work on together as a jumping off point. That way we would have a reference to work from if there were some we weren't familiar with.
Feel free to let me know if that is too formal an idea or anything like that. I know most of the music stuff we've done together has been informal and what-have-you. I don't want to shift it away from being fun. It's just an idea aimed at working together with music more often.
Let me know what you think, if you have any other ideas, or have any songs you'd like to suggest!

I think we can safely start with the one in your 'Current Music' for this very post as something we can work with. :) Maybe a few traditional Celtic tunes, a couple of October Project, a few more mainstream things...
I'm also very much thinking for us to write some of our own - drawing on the variety of influences we have between us, I think we could develop some really interesting sounds. Anyone who wishes to explore possibilities is more than welcome to spend some quality time with my synthesizer, and the 2000+ sounds contained therein.

I like the idea of working on some of our own.
Another thing we probably ought to do is come to a consensus on day/time to get together with that intent, at least to start out.

I would enjoy getting together to play/learn/write music. I'll bring my tambourine, since that's about the only instrument I'm capable of playing, and I'll dig out a few tunes.
