News from my pre-op visit: They are intending to perform my hysterectomy laproscopically. Of course, something could come up that causes complications such that a laproscopic hysterectomy won't be feasible, but the odds are against that. That's a measure of relief to know. It should cut down my recovery time. Chances are, they'll be sending me home from the hospital on Thursday, July 26, with pain meds in hand.

When do you go in again?
(I found myself thinking this morning: Which would be more appropriate, "get well soon" or "congratulations!", knowing how long you've wanted this? s:) )

Not that I'm not still nervous/anxious/whatnot. I'm scared of it every bit as much as I'm looking forward to the results when I've healed.
I appreciate every good thought sent my way.

Will you be allowed visitors in the late-evening (after work) of the 25th, or will I have to wait and come by sometime after you get released?
SO relieved to hear they're going the less-invasive route, though. *hugmore*

I'm very glad too, regarding the less-invasive procedure. The biggest external cut is going to be about a centimeter long. The others she said would be half a centimeter. Definitely not the big gaping scar I thought I would have to heal from.
