I'm going to post this here. I have seen it on quite a few journals, but it makes it easier to read people's own answers when they're posted in an entry rather than in comments on other people's journals... For the sake of the questions that imply a specific person, I will address them to my friends-list in general.


1. Do you have a tattoo?
Not yet. I've been seriously considering it for about half a year now.

2. How old are you?
I just turned 31 this month.

3. Are you single or taken? [Note: I hate the binary implied here, too. Answer as you see fit. ;)]
I am married. I am poly-curious, but I love my husband and respect his discomfort with the idea.

4. Fish?
Alive ones are hypnotic to watch. Raw fish done right is worth the price. Cooked, just season 'em with salt, pepper and olive oil, and serve 'em on a bed of veggies. I'm interested in learning how to, from bait and pole selection to scrapin' scales and slicin' bellies.

5. Do you dream in colour?
I dream in movies. I dream worlds. I dream in full-on sensory immersion from which I wake to find that real life is but a pale comparison.

6. Ever seen a corpse?
I saw my Dad, jaundiced and with a drop of moisture still hanging from his upper lip, just minutes after he passed away. I've seen dead pet fish, dead pet mice, dead pet rats, a dead pet crab, in addition to the dissection subjects in biology class.

7. Hipsters or Hillbillies?
They all must die!!!

8. How did we meet?
A couple of you I've known since high school. Some, since college. A handful of you I have known just a handful of years. There are some of you I've never met. I would be curious to meet all of you. Whether you and I have been close for years, or we just got back in contact, or we've never sat down face-to-face, we ought to sit down and chat over a beverage of your choice sometime.

9. What's your philosophy on life and death?
Life? Death? It's Being that's important. "I AM." is not an evasion, it's an affirmation.

10. If you could do anything with me, and have no one know, what would it be?
Hmmm... ;) You may as well know I'm a pervert.

11. Do you trust the police?
Not often...

12. Do you like musicals?
My parents meant well... They took me to a minimum of one musical a year as I was growing up. Sadly, that means I have a much greater appreciation for regular plays. Ah well.

13. What is your fondest memory of me?
For my friends list in general, I felt uplifted by all the support that you gave me when my Dad died. For those I spend time with on a more regular basis, my birthday party this year comes to mind. :)

14. If you could change anything about yourself what would it be?
I think I would be much better off if I had the persistence and focus to finish the projects that riddle my brain... Granted, I include selling them and making money from it in the word "finish."

15. Would you cheat?
So, where's the money cheat code for life? What's the key code to enter it in? Where's the keybord?

16. What are you wearing?
Up until a moment ago I was wearing a cat named Minerva. I am slathered in BPAL's The High Priest Not To Be Described. Oh... You meant clothes. I have crayon-green underwear, a black bra (40DDD Whee!), black socks, black stretch pants, a floor-length brown skirt that I adore, a shirt the color of the inside of a lime, a black watch that I have deemed androgynous enough to wear, a medallion from the local renaissance festival with its phoenix facing outward, five rings, six matching stud earrings, and a black hair clip.

17. Have you ever peed in a pool?
I remember a friend of my parents telling my pre-school-aged self that it would turn green if I peed in the pool. Imagine my surprise when I had an accident once and couldn't see it afterward. For a moment I'd been sure everyone would know and laugh or cringe. Now you all can!

18. Would you hide evidence for me if I asked you to?
Evidence of what? If you asked me to hide the evidence that your cat had puked, I wouldn't hesitate.

19. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together?
If I only had one day to live, and I felt up to it, I would want to party like it's... oh... wait... that already happened. Um. 1999 wasn't enough of a party, if you ask me. Hmmm. I would want to party like we all were just about to have direct mystical experiences that would alter our lives and perceptions forever. You don't have to tell me. I know I'm weird.

20. Which do you prefer - short or long hair?
Short... Long... these are relative terms. I like hair. We all have bad days where we think we look like crap. Some of us even get to the point where we throw up our hands in the air, utter profanity, and decide it doesn't matter.

21. What's your favorite day of the week?
I favor any day I feel loved.

22. What's your favorite color?
This question is asked way too often as if it there is a static answer which would be sufficient. I wear a lot of black, but black is not my favorite color. I love rich jewel tones, like emerald, sapphire, and ruby. I love the soothing feeling of well-worn earthtones and the haunting luster of blood. Most of all, I love the fact that reality is not, in fact, black and white.

23. If you could bring back anyone that has passed, who would it be?
I would rather get to know people I've let slip from my life than try to resurrect any literally dead.

24. Tell me one interesting/odd fact about you?
I like looking at boobies.

25. What was your first impression of me?
My first impression of livejournal and its use in communication was to grumble because I didn't want to have to check something else online. Too late now.

26. Have you ever done drugs?
They've given me prescriptions for some interesting stuff, but I realize that doesn't count.
