yeah i figured that out a long time ago. for whatever reason i've had a lot of dreams of dying. in one i had a heart attack, could feel my heart go from slamming erratically in my chest to slowly quivering and finally stopping and the group of people nearby looking at me confused and upset as i drop to the ground and feel everything go numb.. then black.
i've been shot..stabbed, dropped, crushed, and god knows what else. death within a dream, however horriffic and believeable, definetly won't stop you in reality. i mean heck.. lord knows how many times i've found myself racing to a bathroom in dreams to relieve myself and mid way through it thought "oh god if i am doing this in my dream maybe i'm also doing it in reality" and woke to realise.. i wasn't. i was fine. I know mind over matter, but... i think there are some things your body, your mind, or maybe your soul, know better about then you're dream state THINKS is real. So you're always sleeping with one eye open. It's just not the usual eye. :)
but yeah.. dreams of that type of stuff are always strange.. only 1x have i ever felt the manifestations of a dream after. i felt myself get stabed in the chest in the dream, when i was very young, by a large cutting knife. i awoke seconds afterward and could still feel this deep aching pain in that spot. Was it just a muscle cramp messing with the dream? or was it something else? who knows...
deathly nightmares
