It's my turn to be sick, just in time for what would have been another nice Tuesday out. Aidan had something similar this past Friday night and Saturday morning. His passed quickly. I hope mine does the same.

Aidan's on a trip with [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos's parents to go visit his uncle, aunt, and cousins in Massachusetts. I had thought I'd be using the time to relax and unwind, not hunched over the porcelain pot. Bleurgh.

I am reminded of times when I was sick when I was a little kid. I remember getting lots of hugs, comfort when the innards hurt worst, and a Mom to clean up any off results. Thankfully there are much fewer of the latter now that I've grown, but it get awfully lonely siting around waiting for the bug to act up again and again.

I'm staring at the water bottle here that ought to be my friend. Today it hasn't been. I know I need to drink more of it anyway. Wish me luck?

Thank you. I want me feeling better too. I may like roller coasters in the summer, but I don't like this vomit comet.

*gentle hugtight*

If it's not staying down, it's not your friend. When [livejournal.com profile] lite and I had a stomach bug a year ago Christmas, Mom basically told us not to eat or drink anything but little tiny sips until the vomiting stopped -- around six hours.

Sleep is your friend. Hopefully it passes in a day or so! *pets*

My guts have been unpleasant too. Although of all things they are feeling better despite about 2 lbs of my salmon being distributed between the three of us. Doesn't really make sense - I thought I was going to regret that for sure.

I sorry!! *hugs, lots and gentle* Rest much, sip on tummy friendly things, pester [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos for snuggles :) Wuv you!!!

***hugs back*** I am resting lots, but I like tummy cold time, so snuggles are tough on me. Cat snuggles can help though, and they did earlier.

Water isn't staying down either. Not fun. I think this first started about 2am last night. Not fun at all.

***hugs back***

I have indeed been sleeping quite a bit, in between trips to the bathroom to answer the call of the retch and trips to the computer to alleviate boredom.

I hope it passes soon too. ***hugs more***

Wow. I'm glad it stayed put for you. The argument between the cramping in my guts and my hunger pangs seems to be shifting towards trying some cream of rice. So, maybe I'll do that, and maybe it'll stay in.

Ew, that sucks. Well, hurls, I guess. Bad either way. :-( *gentle hugs* Hope it passes soon.

Thankfully, [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos picked up supplies so I can be on a liquid diet: chicken broth, jello, and pedialyte. So far it is helping more than plain water or tiny helpings of cream of rice. ***hugs back***

***hugs back*** Thanks.

As of this morning I've been wholly enforcing a liquid diet upon myself. So far that seems to be doing better than plain water or Cream of Rice cereal. I'm hoping no one else in my family gets it, and that I don't manage to pass it on to anyone at all. Being an at-home mom helps with that...
