Every year we spend Memorial Day weekend at mechanchaos's parents' place. We seem to be putting off the trip as long as we possibly can. For all the talking that we've been doing, I get the feeling that we won't be getting much talking done there. At least not in the house with his parents, his brother and sister-in-law, Aidan, and Aidan's cousins. ***frets***

I would honestly say that if you two need to keep talking, I think that takes precedence over heading out of town. If you don't want his parents involved in what's going on with you two (which I kind of got from J's post), then a small white lie about why you can't make it would probably do less harm than trying to go and stressing out all weekend about hiding relationship issues from his entire family -- which could end up in some of them getting involved anyway, whether their opinions are desired or not.

Just my opinion. Hopefully whatever choice you make works out for you. *hug*

The reason it's such a tough call is that Aidan has been looking forward to time with his cousins for so long. We're still thinking it through though. ***hugs***
