(no subject)

Yesterday has been designated puke day. Not me, mind you... Aidan. He'd barely eaten anything so it was mostly saliva, water, and the by-products of a stomach not taking too well to post nasal drip. UGH... He puked in his room and followed it up on the kitchen floor. Still, he insisted that he was ok to go to school. We took him in, and for the most part he was OK, but he ended up sitting out the last half hour of activities because he wasn't feeling well.

Meanwhile, I'd decided to clean the litter boxes while Aidan was gone after an errand to pick up more cat litter. Suffice it to say that a few different things went wrong with that, the most notable of which was Leo coming in and squatting in the edge of the garbage bag I'd filled with dirty litter. I thought I could catch him in time to stop whatever was going on. Nope. I picked him up just to watch the little boy kitty fountain into the same spot he had been peeing in. Leo got a bath.

By this time, John ran to pick up Aidan from school. Aidan was really under the weather, so we parked him in front of a movie, so he could doze off if he needed to. John went to work, as he needed to.

Indeed, Aidan spent a good deal of movie one sleeping in ther. Then, he woke up and... puked all over the top two blankets in my bed, went to the bathroom only to puke next to the toilet! Laundry, laundry, and more laundry later, he was on top of the inner blankets on my bed, the designated "vomit pot" in his lap, the freshly washed "daddy's blanket" keeping him warm. What happens... he pukes, all over the bed, soaking through to the mattress itself, even managing to hit the pillowcases. He got everywhere BUT in the pot. Laundry and even more laundry. UGH!

I didn't have a good day yesterday.

I am so thankful that Aidan is feeling lots better today.
