Holy crap! When I saw your second post, I had somehow missed this one, but kept thinking the name was familiar. But without this context, I thought maybe it was just the adoption angle that got your attention...

*shakes head* Gotta wonder about some people. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt based just on the article, but if it's someone you know to be only half-brained, well...

I don't think she's half-brained so much as cocky. She thinks she knows how to play people, how to play the system. Hence why it was rather... satisfying... to see it bite her in the butt.
