I called up the local Montissori School, hoping to get information about their program.
Stupid me.
The guy haughtily informed me that they don't accept children older than 3 into their program unless they've already been in a Montissori School program. I mean, how am I supposed to know that they expect first time parents to be on the ball about education when the kid is still two!

Good to know though for the rest of us who probably before too many more years go by will be where you are now.
I would think it has to depend on the school also - it was an option for me at 10, having been prior educated at a public school.
*hugs*
