I've been a bit lax in posting dreams lately. I've had dreams the past three nights/mornings, but they've been the sort that are tricky to hold on to. They were interesting at the time, but now I can't remember the order of events. It wouldn't feel right to me to post a dream that was likely vastly out of order.

Instead, I was wondering what recurring themes happen most in your dreams.

Lately I've had many dreams that had a backdrop of a combination of summer and winter. Mostly this included snow and winter-like lighting, but summer dress and temperature.

Another recurring theme has been outdoors. Farm or countryside setting has played at least a minor part in every dream of mine lately. Forest trails, places that resembled the camp I used to attend in the summer, country roads, and wooded mountainside all played a part. I think I miss being in a more natural setting.

The overall most repeated thing in my dreams, past and present, has been something more nightmarish. Regardless of setting or era, I have dreams where light bulbs keep burning out. Night is falling, and every time I replace them, the bulbs still don't work. I get increasingly frustrated. I had a fear of the dark as a kid. I'm still pretty leery about it when it comes to attics, basements, and generally spooky places after dark. Mostly these days I like the adrenaline rush of such things. It still makes me antsy in my dreams, when I check the lights one minute and they work, and the next, the thing burns out when I turn it on. Next thing I know, the entire setting of my dream goes dim.

There have been times when my entire dream has been repeated 2-3 times.I can remember one of them from when I was in early grade school, something like first or second grade. Another was third-fourth grade and was a nightmare memorable enough that I recounted it in a story during my freshman year in high school.
