Despite, or perhaps because of the emotional low I'd sunk into Saturday morning, I ended up going to UBCon rather than staying and taking some me-time. We didn't really go for the whole Con.
In the bustle I ended up with a character who was apt to interact rather frequently with a character who happened to be being played by
The ego trip for me occurred after things were wrapping up. I'd changed back out of my costuming and into what I'd worn there. I had on a well-loved and deliberately torn and retorn black skirt layered over a plain, fading, black skirt. I wore my asian-dragon, black, thermal shirt, my worn and supple studded leather dog collar (courtesy of the wal-mart pet department), and my favorite assortment of rings. Still, the snow is getting me down a little. After my exercises but before my walk, I shovelled our driveway. It's extra exercise, yes, but I wish it wasn't snow that was bringing it about. I'm just thankful for my warm, waterproof, enormous snow boots that make sure I can still take my walks even if it's snowy out.
I hope the daffodils don't suffer from the cold.
