If you happen to be a member of a minority religion, be prepared for:

-Your house to be vandalized

-Your beloved cat to be disemboweled and hung in your front yard

-Your African Grey parrot's heart ripped out and left on display

-Five different sets of tires on your car slashed

-Sand poured in your gas tank

I think we can ALL agree, no matter what our religion, that killing someone's pets is just vile.

The thing that disgusts me -- well, one of several things that disgust me -- about that is I know how small towns work. Someone in Great Falls knows who did these things, but they're not talking. Which in my mind, makes the whole community guilty, guilty, guilty: each person who knows something but refuses to speak up is guilty of slashing Darla's tires, pouring sand in her gas tank, throwing bricks through her windows, and brutally murdering her pets.

The town of Great Falls has an online discussion forum, but when it looked like Darla was getting too much attention and support, they tried to hide it. Alas for them, sweeping it under the rug didn't work. Here's the forum:

Maybe if everyone who agrees that this kind of thing is BAD and NEEDS TO STOP would link to this post, or repost the information somewhere else, maybe that would help get the word out that we're not going to put up with it anymore. Hell, if some dude on the NY ferry can get a shitload of publicity because a Port Authority rent-a-cop threatened to take away his White Wolf RPG, surely we can rally around this poor woman.
