I got my MCC diploma in the mail today. With distinction. After all this time, after all the rigamarole at Oswego, the becoming a mom, the being a housewife, the EVERYTHING that's come in between starting college and finishing my first degree, I now have it in my hands. It's the first brick. Next step, ESC. I start in March and my orientation is next Wednesday. And I need to know a stack of info for grad school so I can do the design-my-own-degree thing and make sure I'm a kickass candidate for a philosophy fellowship. Holy Bleeebles, life is happening!

*grins* It's amazing how powerful a little piece of paper can be. You officially graduated over a month ago... but the paper makes it REAL.

Congratulations, sweetheart. I'm so proud of all you've accomplished, and I foresee many, many more years of you making me proud. :)

I wasn't prepared for just how powerful a feeling it is. In late January they said it would be two months before I got it. Getting it in early February totally caught me off guard. Aidan was so cute when he brought it up. When it started sinking in just what that big white envelope was, ***BOOM!*** (Nearly typo'ed that as BOOB... ;) )

But, yeah, it's real!
