I'd like to say thank you to everyone who came over Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. I can't say it often enough. I value the friendship, the company, the fun, and the opportunity to get to know people better.
Somebody spank me if I ever say I'm all alone in this world!

One thing I wanted to mention and forgot to last night - I share the habit you mentioned of interrupting people. It's just the dynamic I'm used to.
The other character flaw that I've been noticing in myself lately is my tendency to talk about myself. I hope no one thinks I'm uninterested in what they have to say. Most of the time, I'm relating to what the other person has said by sharing a similar story, but I'm afraid of sounding like I'm changing the subject or stagehogging.
Please don't hesitate to tell me if either of these things ever bothers you. :)

Here I was thinking recently that I hoped no one thought I was trying to steal the show when I used stories from my own experience to relate to other people. I certainly don't find fault in that. Hell, I do it myself.
***hugs, smiles***
And, though you'd need to get permission from John, I doubt I'd mind being spanked anyway.

*dingdingding* Me, too. s:) I once had someone actually accuse me of trying to invalidate (or something along those lines) my first sophomore-year roommate by doing this -- while in my mind, how else am I supposed to show that I relate to what is being said, other than to share a similar experience?
(I wonder if my including that story counts as meta? *g*)

to shed some light on how others think...
Also in response to something kristen said about invalidating someone's whatever year. Some of us when talking about something and someone else pipes up and says somethign else its almost like they are saying what what we are saying is wrong or not as good. Thoughts like this normally spring from elementary school and afterward where a lot of one up contests ensued. Like always no one is essentially wrong just people think about things differently. It might have pushed a button. I think we all know about buttons.
