Well, the symptoms were the same, and I guess I was hitting the wrong spot to find the bladder. Leo's got the same thing as last year. They "booked" him. He's going to be catheterized and tested later today and he'll likely be there three days. Lots of no-Leo time. :( The poor little guy. At least I didn't have to take him to the emergency clinic. He'll be under the same care the whole time. Still, I'm worried about him.

It was around $2k last year between the emergency clinic and the week at the vet. Estimate this time around is $500-$600. Not an inexpensive problem for sure. But, yeah, recurring urinary obstructions they "fix" by removing the penis and enlarging the urethra. We don't know yet whether that's in Leo's future, but the possibility was explained to us last year. Despite four cats in the house, I love Leo dearly. I have one kiddo, but the cats are my children just as surely. (Yay for a relatively low-interest credit card and a relatively high credit limit.)
