Is anyone in Buffalo (or elsewhere and willing to travel) available on Sunday September 17 and Tuesday September 19 and interested in joining me for a concert of Tibetan monks chanting and to see the Dalai Lama speak? Due to misfortune, I have one spare ticket for each. I'd very much prefer to go with someone I know, as opposed to pawning them off on strangers. Please let me know. Thanks.

I want to go to see the Dalai Lama speak on the 19th. It's Learning Day and we have off from classes. I'm not certain if we get tickets as students, but if we don't, I'm very much interested.

As a note to anyone who doesn't live near Buffalo, the video from the event is suppose to be available for a streaming download a day or two after the speech.

It turns out [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos and I found a workaround, so he'll likely be coming in for the concert on the 17th, going back to work on Monday, coming back Monday night, then calling in "sick" Tuesday the 19th. Sorry about that. I've read that tickets for Tuesday are sold out. The Sacred Music Sacred Dance performance on Sunday might not be, and I think there's a presentation of some Philip Glass compositions on Monday evening (the 18th) that might still be available. I wish I was a UB student so I could get admission to the interfaith ceremony on Monday. ***shrug***

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'd lock this post if you are mentioning John's plans. It wouldn't be impossible for someone at his work to happen upon this entry and have it get back to the manager.

Just a suggestion.

[livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos mentioned that Keith had suggested that at one point... Artie knows too. It's not necessarily going to be a problem

Got a sitter, but [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos failed to get timely time off. We are now planning on the workaround I mentioned in my previous comment. Thankfully the workaround means I don't have to find someone to fill the seats next to me. Granted, I have some cool friends in Buffalo, so there were possibilities there. I'd just prefer to have my husband with me.

Ok Davids b-day is the 19 and he said he is interested in both and to as soon as possible email him at Auslander_Man@yahoo.com.
