They took my Dad off dialysis because his blood pressure was so low. They took him back to his room and gave him morphine. My Mom, my Aunt Dee, and my Uncle Charlie are there at the hospital right now. As soon as [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos gets here, we're going. Everything is packed and waiting in the downstairs hall. I just have to put Leo in the bedroom and set out all the cats' food and water. I am going to ask [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos to drop me off at Buffalo General. He and Aidan will be staying at my Mom's house while the rest of us are at the hospital. Better that Aidan remembers his Grandpa as he was, not as he's breaking down.

Hi. KLT sent me over, I had no idea. I've rotated through BGH, he's in good hands there. You guys are in my prayers. If you want to pick a medical mind (or need translation) just drop me an email: ngothgen@mac.com.

My Mom, my Aunt who used to be a nurse at Strong if I remember correctly, and my Uncle who was also involved with Strong in some way were all very impressed with the way everyone at Buffalo General handled things. I believe my Dad's main doctor's name there was Dr. Lipome (my spelling may be way off). I think I have a decent idea of the cascade that happened from my Dad's ruined liver. I probably don't know all that went on in there to lead to this point, but I feel content in what I do know.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. I appreciate that.

Probably for the best; when I was 13 and my grandmother was dying of melanoma, they wouldn't take me to see her for the same reason. They did, however, let me write a letter which they read to her...

Yeah. Especially knowing what I know now. My Dad took the time to call specifically to talk to Aidan last Sunday after my visit to the hospital. I was very touched by that.
