I'd like to post a nice big welcome-in-advance to ecwoodburn for her impending visit this weekend. It's been way too long, in no small part due to my own hangups. ecwoodburn, may your travels be smooth and swift. I look forward to giving a real hug. :)

Gather-like things will be happening Sunday as per this post.

Can I just say how pleased your mutual friends are that you got over your hang-ups in your own, individual ways? I, for one, was always glad to lend an ear as needed (and you were both very good about not bashing one another to those who care about you both!), but it's definitely easier for planning gatherings and such!!

I wonder if I'll ever get to meet the rest of youse people, especially since I no longer have family in Rochester to visit... (they've officially moved to NC as of last month)

(well, actually, I do have another aunt and uncle up in Greece, but while I love 'em, I wouldn't fly up there just to go see them.)

Perhaps you and ecwoodburn could get a caravan of down-there friends to work your way up Rochester-wards sometime. If I get around to visiting my old neighborhood in the suburbs of Towson, I'll let you know. (Smack-dab-in-between Rogers Forge and Gaywood was where I spent the time between 1980 and 1985.)

I was just talking with KLT and realized that tomorrow at the gathering, it will be the first time in I think 5 years that all three of us will be together in the same place. Good things are happening.
