I'd been complaining to mechanchaos that the far and away majority of people viewing my OKCupid profile were not only guys but guys that look like they're a bit more on the manly scale of things than I tend to find interesting. Then, I'm sitting answering more questions when an IM request comes in from a girl in Buffalo. I blinked a couple times, looked at mechanchaos with my eyebrows raised, looked back at it, let my curiosity get the better of me, and clicked to accept. I'm on dialup, so the thing never loads properly, I get tired of waiting for it to load, and close the window. So, the thing shows up in my inbox as a "missed IM" message. My eyebrows seem to be stuck in up, so I click to load it.

Woah. There are boobies. The nipples are whited out but there they are. I didn't think my eyebrows could go higher, but there they are, scrunching my forehead an inch or so smaller than it ought to be. The text says, "hey sexy." Ummmmmmmm.

Part of me wonders if it was some sort of scam... I mean, the girl is young and beautiful, the user's profile is almost empty. I really hope this isn't about someone messing with someone else's photos to embarrass them.

I find that kind of IM has the potential to be flattering, but just feels overwhelming. I'm rather glad mechanchaos was sitting right here next to me through this. I can picture it being beyond awkward trying to explain that, yes, the pics were interesting and revealing, but I was weirded out by it. I mean, I'm not opposed to talking to people, but that was just way, way too forward, in my opinion.

Is this normally one of the occupational hazards of being a poly-curious woman???

Wow....that's rather...uhhh....forward. In any context. My immediate impression is that she needs a toy to relieve the urge, come back when she's relaxed some and actually talk. Or that she's just looking for hot sex and not wanting a relationship at all. Or is assuming that poly is a less direct term for swinging.

But that's just me.

My profile even says that I'm married and that we're poly-curious, not practicing poly yet. It specifies.

So, yeah, way too forward. If I was a more forward person, I'd find the яйца to tell them directly to go get a vibrator and a nice erotic story and use her imagination...

I'd much rather get to know people as friends first. Much nicer. Boobies are nice, but definitely overkill for a first IM.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that was the case... the profile has the bare minimum of info to look like a real person.

Re: the second link, since our system sadly still uses dialup, I will have to wait and see whether it loads nicely. I'll post back if I get to watch it. :)

Finally got back to the stop-action music, which was thankfully loaded. :)

That is really fascinating. I'd love to know how to do that kind of stuff with sound editing. Sadly, I don't know the first thing about how. Would be fun though.... If I learned how, it wouldn't be that long before I started trying to make songs. ***dreams***

I suspect it's more a hazzard of OKCupid, to be honest s:) blackpaladin had someone try to get him to sign up for some other site not to long ago, pretending like she was too protective of her privacy to reveal anything about herself over any other medium.
