I was stagnating long before the sick brought us to our knees. Getting exhausted be a trip to buy pillows and tissues, or a trip to the doc isn't helping matters much. It was practically t-shirt weather out there for me! I do not doubt that I am a cool weather girl. 60 degrees out and I'm ready to start calling it springtime, even if I know it won't last.
I'm alert enough to be bored, but fatigued enough to be frustrated. So here I am, bumming around the computer, too woobly in the head to WoW without feeling motion-sick, and randomly adding people just because I've been listening to a lot of Ruki Vverh today and decided to do a search for them in interests. At least the music isn't making my ears explode today. I like the option of silencing my mental DJ with real music. Did I mention bleurgh?

What is your style of Gothic Beauty?

Classic New Romantic: You are the gothest of the Goth, your pale skin and raven hair fool mourners into thinking you are a living ghost as you slink around a graveyard with your sketch book. You are the epitome of the scene; you listen to the right music, wear beautifully tailored gowns and are intelligent enough to hold your own against normal people who accuse you of being Satanic. You have a tight circle of friends who you do everything with and they understand when you need time alone. You see beauty where others see dirt, you're creative flair will lead you down paths that only people can dream about. You seem unapproachable but that is just your icy exterior, there are times when you open up, most often when you've had more wine than usual! You wear your dark cape and gothic jewelled chokers with a regal air you were born with. Your motto is "There is beauty in darkness"

Have any ideas on how I could better entertain myself in ways that won't remotely exacerbate dizziness or turn me into a quivering pile of fatigue beans?

You could take Florajen (or some other probiotic) to counteract the good stuff that the antibiotics might be killing off. And as for passing the time, I always recommend a good DVD box set or a nice long book.

If we have a chance, one of us can drop of season 4 for you. Or John can pick it up after work one day. That'd be good entertainment for you.

I don't know much about entertainment... I think I'd watch reruns of House, M.D. or Dr. Who. Or maybe you could have a manga night and watch your favorite anime! Um.. if you like that sort of thing.

I've been improving, for certain, but I'm having a terrible time getting any sleep at all at night for all the hacking and coughing. Worse yet, I keep waking
I hope the meds kick in soon too!

I'd think the prednisone would be working pretty quick to open up the breathing. Maybe a tiny bit of robitussin? Not sure if that would help... maybe you could call the doc and ask for robitussin with codeine over the phone. Not that codeine is anything great to take, but it is aces when it comes to coughs.

***hugsback*** Mmmm... Chicken soup... I have a can of chicken and stars just waiting for me to want to feel like a kid again. :) Thanks for triggering my memory of that!
