Well, today is vocal rest day number two, but the sniffles and cough are barely over the line of "annoyances". Still, no voice is tricky to be a mom with. On the other hand, we opened up all our windows today. It is refreshing to feel natural warmth around the place. The best kind of warm is the mid-autumn sunniness that is keeping things cozy today. I still ought to nab some tea though. Ucky no voice.

***lots of hugs back*** This morning, I actually had something of a voice, however shaky. I went on a walk with Aidan this evening. We passed some people who happened to say hello. I went to try to vocalize a hello in return and... nothing... Barely a sound came out at all. For some deranged reason I'd been under the impression that a day and a half of vocal rest would be helpful... ***apologizes for the sarcasm with that*** I've been getting headachy again tonight. I've also noticed that my moodiness has returned. I'm really starting to thing that R&R on a larger scale may be an order for me. ***needs more tea too***

mechanchaos had mentioned a positive on Vertex before he and I were in touch last night. At this rate I don't think I could do it. Every evening I've been getting cranky, and every morning I realize I ought to still be taking it easy on the vocal cords. My nose is barely drippy at all, but my cough is faintly lingering. I'm just not comfy at the idea of extended vocal rest.
