I'm not quite certain how it happened. I slipped, swiveled, fell as I was heading over to the computer. Somewhere in there, I felt my ankle give out as it sometimes does. Now I'm having definite issues with putting weight on it. I'm nervous enough about possible breaks, since it is the same ankle that I'd broken before. At the same time, I have a feeling it is more like a pull or strain or sprain or something. Still, I'm feeling occasional crunchies in there, so who knows.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to call my PCP and see what he thinks I ought to do. I don't know if they'll be able to see me before John has to work though. He's considering taking time off if need be. If all else fails, though, I might need to ask for a ride. Is there anyone who would be available if it is necessary? Thanks lots in advance. ***hugs and love all around***

UPDATE: Appointment is at 10:15. John will be taking me, and swinging by to pick up Aidan from school if my time there runs on too late. I'm thinking it's just a sprain. It's annoying anyhow, since there are things I like to do around the house. This ankle complicates that somewhat. ***more hugs for good measure***

I could possibly be available, but it would depend on weather, and from what I'm seeing out there now it doesn't look pretty. :( [livejournal.com profile] kolys may be taking the bus to school in the morning.

I get crunchies with just a sprain, myself. Then again, my ankles are like rice krispies, anytime I go downstairs.

If nothing else is possible, give me a call, and I'll see if it's possible. Failing all else, I could possibly bus over and watch Aidan so you could catch a bus to your doc, but I don't know if that's feasible.

In the meantime, lots of ice, ibuprofen, and REST! *hugs*

This was one evening when I was glad for the Tylenol 3. I'm definitely taking it easy tonight. ***hugs lots*** I'm hoping John will be able to be here for the doc visit. I'm going to call first thing in the morning. I would have hit the ER tonight, but if it is just a sprain I'd feel stupid spending money we don't have on the ER. Here's to hoping it goes away soon, regardless of what kind of owwie it is! ***hugs lots*** Take care, have a good night, and send [livejournal.com profile] kolys wishes of good luck on his first classes of the new semester for me.
