What a beautiful day out! Between the sun shining, and noticing that there were several inches of snow in the driveway that needed shovelling, I decided to take Aidan out. He cleaned up his room as quickly as could be, knowing that he'd be going outside when he was done.

I got the driveway shovelled. It wasn't that big a job this time. Aidan even tried to help. He went inside when I wasn't looking, brought out the other shovel, and started "helping". I assigned him to help with the sidewalk, since it was already mosly done by the city's sidewalk plows.

When I was done with the driveway, I dug a path into the front yard, so we could play. We didn't end up doing that much, since the sun was going down, and I was quickly soaking through. Even just some digging, some "snow chairs", and a snow belly flop was enough to coat me in the stuff. My gods! I'd forgotten how much I loved going out in the snow. I'd also forgotten how quickly I get cold when I'm soaked through with snow.

I had a giggle when I was sitting in my snow chair. I looked down at my legs and saw the wet steaming off me in the cool winter air.

We came in and stripped off all the wet stuff in the hallway. I couldn't help it, the fun of going outside made instant cocoa a necessity, even though we didn't have any marshmallows. It makes me want to learn how to make real hot chocolate... Mmmmmmmm...I can smell the calories just thinking about it!
