Aside from being a little rumpled from the weight of the snow atop them, the two little yellow flowers in our front yard seemed to have survived well. Everywhere there are daffodils, tulips, crocuses, and other spring flowers sending up shoots, poking through the remainder of the snow where necessary.

It is gorgeous out.

I've been on a walk already today, for over an hour between the time [livejournal.com profile] mechanchaos left for work and the time I had to pick Aidan up from Preschool. I walked along the rim of the gorge, but rather than lose myself in looking at the waterfall, I decided it would be more productive to walk through the rose garden and back up Dewey toward's Aidan's school.

It was nice to see bits of green in the otherwise dead-looking rose bushes.

I tried to stop by Maplewood library, but it didn't open until 1 today. To kill time, I went along several pretty sidestreets, winding my way towards picking Aidan up. Though I stretched out my walk as long as I could, I was still the first parent to arrive.

I hope I have the motivation to keep up walking. Maybe later I'll take Aidan to the playground. It would mean another walk and the fun of chasing him around the playground equipment. ***grins***

BTW - are you interested in coming over for Epiphany time and visities sometime this week? I realize it's later on in the week, but if you have a stray hour or two, that would be cool. ***smiles***
