I had my appointment today with an admissions counsellor at MCC. She agrees with me that the undeclared option is likely the best to start off with. It would mean I'd be hooked up with a career counsellor and would get to take a class in career choices and life planning. The nice thing is, she made a note to only consider the english and math courses from my transcript at the outset. Then, when I've decided, I can go back and have them re-evaluate my transcript for credits based on what major I choose.
The important thing now is getting in the FAFSA, getting the hold squared away, getting the transcripts sent, and getting the application in. Today I applied for my PIN. When I get that I can fill out the FAFSA. Today I'm going to call the art department and ask whether they can take a credit card or if I must pay by check. I plan on drafting a letter to my HS guidance department and get that transcript taken care of. The application I can do anytime. That's the easy part.
It's not set yet, but I know what I need to do to make it so.
EDIT: OK, so I called the Art Department office at ten after one by my living room clock. That translates to 1:05 EST. UGH. I don't want to put this off anymore. Isn't 4 hours a day, weekdays, already a light schedule? I left my name, number, and my questions about the payment on voice mail. Tomorrow I'll try again.
