Hugs out to everyone!
My son just lost his first tooth. It's neat. I'd just gone in to put away some freshly folded clothes, but it woke him up. The tooth fell out as I was putting them away! Together we put it under his pillow. I can be so cynical sometimes, yet I still feel joy in observing the custom of the tooth fairy. He let me check out the space. Sure enough, I could see the white of the secondary tooth waiting to grow in!
He's only four though. I've read sometimes teeth don't start falling out until later. My mom said I lost my first one on the first day of kindergarten. We'll have to ask about when

mechanchaos lost his first. Being a mom is such a different perspective on growing up. I want to dance around, but at the same time I want to bawl my eyes out. I love my son!
