For a class entitled Reincarnation: A Global Perspective, I wrote a paper comparing the metaphors of Shiva as Nataraja (Lord of Dancers) and a contemporary model of the atom. In the process of researching I asked permission of the owner of Lotus Sculpture if I could use an image of his stunning bronze masterwork Nataraja. Not only did he give me permission, but he also asked if he could publish my paper in the form of a newsletter to his clients. It may not be the big time, but it's publishing... for an undergraduate paper!
Nah, I'm not excited at all...

My prof. even announced it to the class... It's weird. It's something that could be so small, but I might be forging work contacts out of it... and it might be the start of sticking my neck up above the sea of faces at MCC. Deliberately making myself known seems so foreign to me, yet it's exciting.
