Well, the walking pneumonia is hovering at the same level. Fun with breathing through a pool of goo in my lungs. The inhaler helps, but in very limited duration. It seems as if there's a switch inside of me that keeps track of the time. Once 1:30pm hits, I have trouble ceasing to cough. Fun with rattling wheezes. Perhaps tomorrow I'll either go back to the campus health center or to my own doctor.

On the positive side, I gave my HIS252 Presentation today. Despite running on half spoons and little preparation beyond putting together a handout and thinking in depth about my topic, I still got an A+. My paper had an A+ too. It puffs up my ego that my professor, a man who has visited monastaries in Japan and Korea and given talks in a number of locations in Asia has called my paper, "profound." I've somehow managed to get the same grades on all five tests. That means that the only remaining requirement for me to achieve an A in the class is to show up on time and be attentive to my classmates' presentations.

Up until this point, the bulk of my effort had been towards this class. I haven't been slacking in my others, but they haven't taxed me in the same way. I like that HIS252 had a different arc of activity than the others. As my other classes move into crunch time, my toughest class is already effectively out of the way. I dragged my body through the wringer to get to this point, but I've learned a lot from it.

Thankfully, I have a weekend off from the little one this weekend. This time I won't have my project and presentation hanging over my head. I still have another short paper to write and some pictures I ought to take, but things aren't nearly as rushed as they were for the past few weeks. The semester isn't over, but the most challenging of my classes might as well be.

Well done!!!!! WooHoo!!!! *celebrating ensues!!!*

Walking pneumonia stinks, though. What kind of inhaler are you on? *hus and hugs and hugs and vapo rub and hugs and chicken noodle soup and more hugs*

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Thankees lots!

I'm on a regular ol' albuterol inhaler. I went in and had a nebulizer treatment of it too, Tuesday. I might see if I can have another of those tomorrow afternoon. That certainly helped the breathing aspect of things. The ucky lung fluid never quite hits the road, though.

***hugs and hugs and hugs and hugs and hugs and hugs and hugs back*** Thank you. I hope so too. Hopefully the less-stress-over-schoolwork thing will help that significantly.

If either you or I can get a hold of a nebulizer machine, I can give you some of the Xopenex ( which is the pure form of Albuterol ) that I have left from when Dakota needed it.

I don't know where I'd get a hold of one, but don't I wish! I was nearly without wheeze directly after the nebulizer treatment. The liquid keeps coming back though. :(

Wish I could (easily) send you my vaporizer. If you're still wheezy next week, let me know & I'll see if I can pack it up when I fly into Buffalo Thursday?

*hug*

Hopefully it won't last that long, but who knows... I'll let you know. We're heading to my parents' place sometime next Friday. John works on Thanksgiving day itself. ***hugs tightly***

It's not the first time. We've had years where we were much worse off for the holidays. ***shrugs*** Is it telling that I'm somewhat used to it?

*leaves lots and lots of hugs*

And congrats on the History class!

I am still wheezing some nights, and continue to cough up the littlest goo.

I wonder if I've still got something, even though the last time I saw the doc, he gave me a clear bill of lungs..

Ah HATE new-mone-ee.

Ah HATE new-mone-ee.

I hate it too, all the worse for actually being able to feel myself unable to take a full breath. I still haven't seen my regular doc, just the NP on campus. Then again, I trust the campus NP more than I trust my doctor.

Here's hoping we both feel better soon!

Darn skippy.

Warm weather would help...but I'm sure it's worse for you up there...

Here today was almost a pleasantly warm drizzle. I'm a cool weather girl. I tend to be more comfortable in cold winters than I am in hot or humid summers. But, at the very least, it would be nice to have consistent weather, if not warm.

Lesse, what did we have today? It was insanely overcast but mild. Everyone kept thinking it would rain but it did not.

Unfortunately, our house has no insulation, so overcast SUCKS for us.

Lack of insulation is definitely sucky. The northwest corner of our apartment house lacks insulation. This is all the worse for the fact that it is our bathroom that is right next to that corner of the house, buffered only by an unheated back stairwell. Some winter mornings I'd swear temperature-sensitive bits of me were trying to secede and become their own entities...

My friend Courtney says that a quilt tacked to the wall helps..AND looks pretty. But I haven't tested that theory yet.
