***stretches and yawns*** I'm about to head to bed now. This evening was a positive one. mechanchaos and I had dawnstar, kolys, and ecwoodburn over for dinner and kitten time. Being a full-time parent has rendered me rather socially inadept compared to when I was a student, so I was nervous at the outset. They are all good people from the experiences I've had so far, and it was fun to hang out.

Thank you folks for stopping over. Maybe if the socializing thing happens more often I will cease to think of being around others as the exception rather than the norm. ***giggles a little*** Well, sleep - or at least bedroom time - is calling.

I know I was being a little enigmatic about the "new thing" mechanchaos had gotten me into. I can be silly like that. I was wondering whether folks would notice that I had added them to my friends list and let random curiosity take them to my info. No biggie. I'm just weird like that. ***shrugs*** Take care of yourselves, and have a good night.

dunno when they did, but i couldn't get into LJ at all last night after visiting. which sucked, but it happens around here. ick. so it had to wait until this morning.

of course, adrianpaendrag and dawnstar are by-and-large friends-only, so you may have to prod them into noticing outside of LJ since you can't exactly leave a comment on recent messages. s:)

My theory is that, since I added all of the folks John could think of too my friends list, that meanst that I would show up in their user info as one of the "friend of" names. If people happen to update or view their user info, they might see the name there and check it out. Who knows how often folks check that... hence why it is more random curiosity on how long it takes for the ball to roll. ***cocks an inquisitive eyebrow*** Perhaps it is because I don't get out much that my brain goes into little convoluted paths sometimes. ***shrug, smile*** Eventually I'll "come out" by posting something more or less in public view that will reveal my whereabouts. It isn't like I'm going to refrain from commenting things just to lurk for a while.

*nod* see, i found it because i usually use my user info page to navigate to some folks' pages, since my friends page tends to scroll quickly. i like checking on comments in interesting posts, etc. s:)
